Secure Shopping Experience

Riverview Hobbies is secured for online transactions with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).  SSL is a high-security feature built into major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.  We can receive up to 256-bit encrypted information to ensure your shopping experience and personal information is protected.

Contacting Riverview Hobbies

The most efficient way to contact us is through our Contact page.  We will see email from the site sooner than a voice message and can respond in a more timely manner.  If there are ever any issues where we need to contact you personally via a phone call, we will use the phone number included with your payment transaction or we'll send you an email to ask for a number and a good time to call you.


All payments are processed through PayPal.  When you checkout from our store your shopping cart contents are transferred to PayPay for payment processing.  The cart displayed on PayPal will have all of your ordered items with shipping charges displayed as a line item.  If you need to make changes after being transferred to PayPal, click the back button on your browser to return to Riverview Hobbies where you can edit or change the contents of your shopping cart.

Once you're at the PayPal site, you'll have the option of paying for your order with a credit card or you can use your PayPal account.  Once your payment is successfully completed with PayPal, we will receive notification of your payment.  You will then receive an order confirmation email from Riverview Hobbies confirming receipt of your order and payment.  You may track the status of your order on our website (no login is required).  The link will be included in your order confirmation email

Shipping & Delivery

Riverview Hobbies reserves the right to choose the carrier.  We cannot accommodate requests for preferred shippers at this time.  Riverview Hobbies and/or the carriers reserve the right to request a signature for proof of delivery.  We cannot demand a shipment carrier to leave a package.  Please contact the carrier for instructions on available options.  Once the package is successfully delivered, we are not responsible for theft or damage to the merchandise.  When using a forwarding company, we are not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise after the forwarding company has accepted delivery.  The forwarding company must report shipping damage for a claim to be filed.

We are not responsible for any delivery delays due to weather conditions and/or attempted deliveries.  Accepting a package purchased with a fraudulent credit card places you in possession of stolen merchandise. You may be responsible for any legal or collection action related to the shipment.  Shipping charges are non-refundable.

International Shipments

For International orders, shipping charges are not calculated at checkout.  You will receive an email from Riverview Hobbies within 2 to 3 business days to make shipping arrangements.  We will then send you a confirming email with the actual shipping charges for your approval.  Once we receive the email with your approval, an invoice will be created for the order.  After payment is received your order will be processed and shipped. 

Please note these charges will not include taxes, duties or brokerage fees related to shipping your order from the U.S.  The customer is responsible for these cost and/or fees. Export documentation will not be provided.

You will receive a tracking number along with a shipment notification email when your order is shipped.  The tracking number you receive from us during the day may not be updated on the carriers website until that evening.  Riverview Hobbies generally packs orders daily.  Orders packed on Sundays or Legal Holidays are not shipped until the following business day.  If you receive an email from us on a Sunday or Legal Holiday indicating that your order has shipped, please be aware that it will ship the next business day.  Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, except holidays. 

All orders are subject to approval.  Orders can be delayed due to verification or time of the order being placed.  We will notify you by email if your order has been delayed.

Orders may be delivered in separate shipments.  If your order is delivered in multiple shipments, the shipment notice email will be broken down by items previously shipped, items in the current shipment and items not yet shipped.  The tracking number in each notification email will be for the items currently being shipped.

A signature may be required for delivery.

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Riverview Hobbies LLC. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this web site.  It will notify you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site.  We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.  We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.  We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us.  We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order to you.

To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date) to our payment processor (PayPal).  This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders.  If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.

Some of our business partners may use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers).  However, we have no access to or control over these cookies. 

Web site usage analytics are collected and stored for our use by the providers of those services.  Personally identifiable information is not available to us through these services (e.g. your name and address).

  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.


We take precautions to protect your information.  When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.  Sensitive information is encrypted and transmitted via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).  You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon in your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline.  Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information.  The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.


If we provide links to other web sites, please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.


Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.  If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via our Contact page.

Standard Return Policy:

Our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase.  If, for whatever reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to Riverview Hobbies within 30 days of the original purchase date.  Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise. You have the option of exchanging the item(s) or receiving a refund for the full amount of the item purchased.  Refunds on returned items will be issued in the same payment form as tendered at the time of purchase.  If payment was made by credit card, once we receive the product we will credit your account. Please allow 7-10 days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement.

Please read the instructions and conditions below.  If conditions are not met, Riverview Hobbies reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee not less than 15%.

Requesting an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number

In order to return an item you need to first obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.  Start by clicking here to open our Contact page.  Fill out the form and in the Message text describe the problem and/or reason for the return.  Include your Order Number from the shipment notification email.  We will respond with an RMA number and the address to send the package to. 

Packaging and shipping returned merchandise

Place the original package into a shipping carton.  Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer’s package.  The RMA number must be clearly written on the outer box.  If you received a label in the email from us, print the label and tape it to the carton.  We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number.  Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.  We do not accept returns via COD or any other collection method.  COD packages will be refused.  We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.  Send your pre-authorized returns to the address specified in our correspondence with you.

Rules for Returned Merchandise

All returned or exchanged items must be in new condition, in their original box, and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories.  Riverview Hobbies is not responsible for items left in returned merchandise. Defective items may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer's equivalent model.  RMA numbers are valid for 10 days.  There is no restocking fee for qualified returns.
Riverview Hobbies is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise bought from us.  We are responsible for the monetary value of the merchandise only.
